The Insect Apocalypse
A double spread illustration to accompany a translated reprint of the article originally published in The New York Times by Brooke Jarvis about a massive decline in insect population worldwide. The article discusses the consequences of insect loss on life on earth, as well as explains its reasons.
My main idea was to illustrate a sense of danger present in the environment by drawing commonly known insects (ladybug, moth, butterfly, beetle) carrying the burden of its bleak future.
