Jerzy Pilch Book Cover

In 2019, I was asked to design a book cover of a well-renowned Polish writer, Jerzy Pilch. Inspired by the famous photograph of Duchamp playing chess with a much younger and naked woman, Jerzy Pilch in his new book "Yellow Light" creates a variety of intricate metaphors which point out his relationship with death and weaknesses, the influence of a female's power over a man's life and the everlasting tension between two sexes.
